I love slayer, it's waaaaaay quicker if you use the abilities instead of just using the Momentum ability. I 1 hit a Jungle Strykeworm with Assault  |

I was skeptical at first, but after getting past the learning curve, I now thoroughly enjoy using the abilities. It might be easier to get more and more accustomed to the different styles of attacking if we share some of our findings here.
So, here is my first example:
Akrisae (the "new" barrows brother) uses prayer and most of the abilities do not hit through it at all. I decided to create a "3-in-1" setup, which consists of magic and melee armor with melee and ranged weapons. Then, in the action bar, I placed some key abilities from each section, so I was able to use some magic abilities while wielding the melee/ranged weapons, enabling attacks from all three sides of the combat triangle. I'm still working on refining which abilities to use and such, but the combination made the fight much easier.
