I made this as my facebook status, thought you guys would get a kick out of it as well.
Before you read this entire post, please take the time to note that I am a before person in a B4 world. But before I tell you about before I was about to be 4, let me tell you about how B4 came into common use. Before there were cell phones and internet, before was simply written out as 'before.' After cell phones were developed, but before text messages, before was still written out as before. When text messages were released people began to shorten their messages by using 'short hand text' or in other words, leaving out words that were not necessary for the comprehension of the message. But then one day, a child playing battleship with a friend across the country sent the message "B4" in order to attack that space. His friend however questioned what he meant by 'before.' Before anything could be stopped, B4 replaced before as a quicker way of writing. (Before you get any more confused about before 'B4' was written as 'before,' let me clarify that before I am finished, people will begin to use before as before.) Before "B4" was used as "before," no other words were written this way, using numbers and letters to replace written syllables. But after "before" became "B4" many other words began to shrink in size. Examples of this are the words great, which is now written as "gr8," why, which has been shortened to just "Y," and the three following: to, two, too have also been shortened to just "2" for any of these words. (Before I lose your patience, I will say that I am almost done. I have just one more thing to say before I wrap up my lecture on the time before "B4" was written as "before.") These shortened words have sped up society, but have caused greater confusion than before. Thus, wrapping up my lecture, we as a society of people must change our writing of the word "before" from "B4," back to "before," as it was before. It will not be easy, but if we do this, then some of the horrible happenings of the world might cease to exist, and we will be peaceful, as we were before.
