Unf. Potions Money Making Guide


DESCRIPTION[/u]
A money making guide that uses the Herblore skill. This method details the steps on how to create
unfinished potions from grimy herbs, and in extension clean herbs.


REQUIREMENTS

~ 3 herblore (72 for best choices)
~ recommend atleast 300k cash (more the better)
~ some patience

REWARDS

~ 400k-2mil per hour
~ 5k-30k herblore xp per hour

STEPS

Step 1: take out your cash and go to the grand exchange




Step 2: While in the grand exchange put an offer in for whatever herb you are working on (Irits in this case)
I recommend about 1-2k to start, since that will take you one hour, although it depends entirely on your starting cash



These herbs may buy instantly or take a day. It depends on the time of day, the demand fluctuates rapidly


Step 3: Buy the same amount of vials of water that you bought as herbs



Typically these buy instantly although on occasion u may have to wait a bit


Step 4: Set up the vials and herbs side by side and have your 'x' value on 14 to maximize your output




Step 5: Withdraw 14 of each, clean your herbs than mix




Step 6: After you have done the entire amount you bought, take your unf. potions and sell them on the ge for market price



Selling time fluctuates similarily to buy times. I recomend buying 1-10 of a herb to start than test the buy and sell times with it.

Vial Hints: For cheap vials you can buy in packs from general stores. Some stores include:
~ Ardougne
~ Relleka
~ Shilo Village*
~ Mort'ton(unconfirmed)

You can buy 6 packs of 50 from each place starting at 500 and increasing by 25 gp each pack. So thats 3,375 per 300 (one store) or 10,125 per 900 (all three). Normally 900 costs about 40-50k so you are saving atleast 30k by doing this and it takes very little time

Is this method based off of price changes or will it be constantly good for awhile until everyone else hears about it?

ive heard of this one being good but i prefer it when you buy your own vials for like 5-10 gp at a store. you make even more money per hour

to be honest because of the limited amount you can buy and the travel time, it would probably be pretty similar. your right since they sell in packs (see up for small guide on cheap vials)

this method will always make you money, it just matters how much at what time, more than likely this method will get overused and the cash/hr will go way down like it did last time, but hopefully not for some time. so no its not directly based off price changes

Note: mid-day to night turns out are terrible times to buy this stuff, i would suggest leaving orders in over night or in the morning if you want this method to work effectively

Edit: another consideration i just thought of... how fast can you make the unf pots and do you finish up to the trade limit in the 4 hour time period? or are you under it or over it or what, because if you finish the trade limit in 4 hours then you are wasting time ;p

just to add there is also a herb store in Taverly though it isn't that close to a bank

i checked that store and it only sells empty vials not water filled ones, you also dont need to be near a bank for the other three since the vial packs you get are noted water filled vials

Just a note, I've found that whilst this is a great method, lower level potions seem to sell much slower.

Still waiting on a fair bit of unfinished tarromin pots to sell :S
