RuneScape has/had an advert that can harm your computer! I cannot verify if it has been removed, but stay away from this advert! The advert is/was advertising for a game called SWAT, the game uses a program called "GameVance." In order to play SWAT you have to download GameVance. GameVance has been known to infect/add infected files to computers. The advert is blue, has a picture of a computer drawn SWAT character, and I think it said "Pick your weapon," and had a list of weapons (guns). If you have already downloaded this file, I do not recomend googling a tool to remove GameVance, instead try running a virus scan with an updated antivirus software. If this doesn't work, I recomend seeking professional help. I am sorry that I cannot provide a picture of the advert, I wish you all the best of luck. ~ B A M F Pie EDIT: This is the advert.

I would figure firefox with ad-blocker plus and noscript would be the default browser for most people at this point.
Thanks for the info at any rate.

Why is the S.W.A.T guy wearing Desert Camo?... With Black Elbow pads... But yeah, Gamevance was a well known Spyware/Adware vendor trash game service for awhile now. Interesting if they are sending virus's now. Though its not uncommon for companies such as these to end up crashing (or cashing in) and selling out to slimey groups that exploit the base network to datamine and/or upload malware to exploit its network.
