Standard races in clans - A skill in chosen and for a set period of time (a week or month usually) everyone tries to get the most xp in it. The winner gets brag rights and a little signature usually saying (s)he won. And of course the awesome xp. It's a great way to encourage leveling! Which is always good. Also I could be someone's slave for a day in runescape as a reward! Unless I win that is. Fun things like that.
ANYWAYS I expect this to be official ASAP or I hunt the admins down with my skilling levels.

Actually you would hunt down the EOs . I actually was thinking of this exact thing last week but forgot to post it so you beat me... if we do this I will participate, although are you saying each person chooses a skill or everyone does a certain skill.

Everyone on same skill, as otherwise it's unfair since some skills are easier than others. And then it'd be a cooking or fletching race

Some people would have an unfair advantage, though, because things that you can do at higher lvls give more experience. Maybe make it so that they can only use things from a certain level in the skill that everyone has reached? -edit- didnt see that last post there

We could do something that goes almost the same speed even in high levels. Fly fishing is the fastest way of training fishing and it is around 50k an hour going up to maybe 60k or nearly 70k an hour at level 99. Someone who played enough that was real low level fishing could stay with someone who was higher if the other person didn't play as much.

Personally I believe there will always be small advantages and it just makes it boring if we all have to do the exactly same way of leveling a skill. I think we all need to level the same skill sure - but I often do things differently while leveling! That's not to say faster, though. Pure ess instead of iron, or slower fish near a bank because it's less work, or whatever the case may be. Anyways - with small advantages (say from achievement diary rewards) it encourages people to get those, and if someone is a low level in something, it certainly won't be for long. Most skills get fastest at a fairly low level.
