It is intresting how luke realy is not the chosen one at all. For the reason that darth vader (a.k.a. anikan) killed the empor not luke. So what are your opinions on this?

I think he is great, at least in the movies.. He saves the day and is the hero. ;D
Vader is also 'good' in some kind of way

Luke: destroyed/helped destroy 2 death stars, kept Jedi order alive and rebuilt it, turned Vader back to the light side. Vader: threw an old guy over the side and died... I still think Vader is pretty awesome but to say that Luke wasn't great would be severely understating his role. Also Luke was never said to be the chosen one, they even had an alternate if he failed. (Leia) Now if you are talking about Sir Jedi Luke 7 in the clan then yeah he really isn't that good  ... |

In some way, not being 'The Chosen One' made him greater, since everything he did, he did on his own, regardless of whether he had any age old prophecies on his side.
In my opinion, this is also why Han Solo is even greater - I mean, Luke, Yoda, Obi-Wan and Darth Vader all had their lightsabers, and Leia was a decendant of a extraordinarily powerful jedi. All Han Solo had was his blaster gun, a Wookie, and a complete disregard for rules.

now this is starting to get confusing A long time ago there was a post by Zig about Luke saying not to vote for him in election or something like that because Luke supported eating babies while Zig didn't. Hilarious post but it is gone now... |
