Tighter gun control would solve the aforementioned scenario as well, and a host of other problems with it. Then if the criminal had a gun I would be dead since I couldn't defend myself. Just making it illegal for everyone won't help, pot is illegal and people still buy that so they wouldn't have a problem with buying illegal guns... |

Guns in essense are just stupid. In my opinion, they were the worst inventions to have every been made - killing now is far too easy and idiots are making that painfully obvious every day. "People kill people, not guns." I've heard that statement far too much from gun supporters. Yeah, you're right, people behind the guns pull the trigger and end others' lives. If the assailant didn't have a gun however, there's a good chance the victim would've been able to defend themselves - guns take the chance and uncertainty out of combat - all that matters now is who has the faster pull and the better gun. Truly horrible things guns are.
As for the question at hand - if one has the time to contemplate a robbery, they spent their minutes incorrectly and should've worried about what would happen should they get caught.

yeah id be a lot more useful in a fight... i can use a sword really well but im only decent with a rifle...
