Recently, my dad was asked to provide transportation for his friend who wanted abortion. As we are a Christian family, we felt inclined to decline, but she looked so pained. What do you guys think  ? |

Well abortion is a strongly debated topic.
A large portion of people believe that life begins at conception, whilst some believe life begins at birth. I personally never paid much mind to it until last night.
I was at this big concert thing, sort of life a Christian Warped Tour, and there were a bunch of vendors selling Jesus shirts and promoting Christianity. I was walking through one of the tents and saw a binder that said something about abortion. Well I picked it up and my two friends and I were looking through it. Inside the binder there were pictures of aborted babies. At that moment, I realized, "Why go through the pain and emotional distress of having a baby killed inside of you, when you could have the baby, and put it up for adoption?" There are tons of people looking to adopt children, and we have people who basically throw the baby away. Often times, it's somebody's fault they're pregnant. They were the ones who dropped their pants and all that. They should at least ensure that the baby has a decent life by putting it up for adoption.
Way to go to your father for sticking to his beliefs. That's highly respected by many.

Well, I'm a bit more pro-choice, I suppose. It depends....
If a woman is raped, I doubt she would want to live everyday with the agony of having her child around as a memory for her trauma. But at the same time, abortion should not be used as a form of birth control. I hold no judgement over your father's actions, though. I wasn't there, and I don't know her situation, so I can't say.
