So I saw Last Jedi Thursday morning, and then Rise of Skywalker Thursday Night. Time to start some drama, did anybody else see them and what did you think of them? Warning, there may be spoilers below, but also people can hide spoilers too, so they might...

I refuse to watch the new one. They broke a fundamental rule not to use light speed empowered ships as weapons and i dont like the whole "shes just so strong in the force that you can never beat her" plot armor

Could you enlighten me more on this "fundamental rule" I didn't know existed?

So obviously it would be completely possible to just send ships at hyperspace speeds to hit ships planets or objects to do a devestating amount of damage, but then war would just turn into a "launch thousands of hyperdrive ships at them until they die" situation. Iirc George Lucas wanted to make sure that never happened. Plus it brings up the question that if they are capable of sending a hyperspace speed object at another ship why didnt they just send a one manned ship at the reactor core of the supremacy which it could have easily done considering the sheer amount of energy of any amount of matter moving at that speed and force.
Tl;dr the debris alone from Holdos ship destroys destroyers and makes combat look ridiculous. Why not strap hyperdrives to droids and just launch them at things.
Side note I thought Kylo Ren had a good story, but most people hate him. Rei is basically space Katniss Everdeen, and a ton of people love her.

Well, I though visually speaking, that scene was one of the best in Last Jedi, in part because for just a breif second , they actually removed the sound in space!
IF it helps, it doesn't happen at all in the new movie.

I might watch it on Disney plus. The main reason i disliked it, was because after all the years of hard work george lucas and several other people put into star wars and explained that it was supposed to be impossible because hyperspace was technically another dimension, disney was like "whatever ram the other ship it'll look cool"
