You still get it if you're F2P. You can use it for some things still I think, but it has better stuff in P2P. I'm likely wrong or I misconstrued the information.

nah your right south.
what you can mostley do as far as i see is you can only whield it, and use the sweep function.
while P2Pers can get the broom enchanted from other witches around rs to get MAJOR mage xp bonus. also you can get your broom enchanted to tele you to the sorrceres's garden.
i dont play the mini-game, but its real handy for a quick tele to the desert, and easy access to the shanty pass.

All F2P Can Do Is Sweep Or Wield, P2P They Get Magic Exp.
